Has it already been two and a half months since our little bundle of joy entered the world? I cannot believe how fast time flies! Addy is changing in so many ways. Sometimes when she is in the sunlight it looks like her hair is going to have a red tint. I love red heads so if that was the case I think she would look cute. :) Not that I'm the mom and always think she looks cute..
I have so many pictures to post. I took pictures of everyone holding Addy while we were home and I need to get those on here. I also have been taking pictures of her on my phone that i need to try to get posted. I received a free book through Shutterfly and I'm gonna put together her first trip. I think that will be fun. :)
Let me update you on the things Addy is doing. She has discovered her parents, and smiles when we talk or when we enter the room. She also has discovered her thumb.. I think she is going to be like her mommy. Hopefully she won't suck her thumb clear until she is in the second grade though. She also laughed at me the other night. I was playing with her legs after I had just finished changing her diaper and she was grinning and then all of a sudden the most cutest noise came out. Luckily she did it again because Jake was taking Khloe potty. But I haven't been able to get her to do it again. :( We bought her a mobile for Christmas. Holy cow does she love that thing. I was having problems getting her down at night if she wasn't completely asleep, but since we have had the mobile there is a heartbeat noise that plays and sounds like they are in the womb. She loves it. As soon as we put her in the crib to watch it she just grins and kicks. It is the cutest thing.
Jake is working construction and loving it. He has applied for a job on base and is supposed to hear back this week on a time for an interview. It would be great for him to get back on base. The pay would be right, the hours, and it wouldn't be as tough of a job as construction is. They are working hard this time of year, I just wonder what the hours would be like once summer hits and they really get busy.
We had a good Christmas. Since it fell on Sunday it kind of just felt like every other day. It was wonderful to be able to go to church. Something about being in fellowship with other believers makes it feel like we are at home. :) I love our church family!
Well I'm off to run errands. I hope everyone has a marvelous day. Stay posted for pictures!
Love,
The Halls

One month already?!
I cannot believe how fast time flies! Addy is already a month old! She is starting to come more into her own personality. She smiled at me for the first time yesterday. She sure knows how to grin from ear to ear. She is starting to really follow things with her eyes. I went to take Khloe out the other day and had Addy in the swing in the living room. I came through the door and she followed me the whole length of the living room.
I have been having problems with Addy staying awake while she is feeding. So after talking to some of the nursing mom's at church I decided to let her sleep at night until she is ready to wake up. She went SIX hours last night! I was impressed. I was so tired when I woke up for the next feeding though. :) I am not used to getting four hours of straight uninterrupted sleep, but that is DEFINITELY something I could get used to! :)
Jake is doing his final audit for the marine corp today. Hard to believe that next Thursday we are done with the military... Well that is when his terminal leave begins. We are hoping to make it home for Thanksgiving, but Jake wants to have a job lined up first. Rightfully so, since our whole trip he would be worrying about having enough time once we got back to get a job. He has been applying to everywhere he can think of. There are also a lot of guys at church who are giving him ideas. I have no doubt he will get a job, it's just a matter of when. Gotta love just sitting back and having faith! :) But that is what our relationship with Christ is all about. He has it in his hands. Well I'm going to go fix something for lunch and get a little more housework done! I pray you all have a marvelous day!!
Love,
Anna and Addy :) oh yeah... and Jake too ;)

For those of you who may not have received my text I will fill you in on Addy's two week appointment. She was at 90% for her length which was 21 1/4 inches! She grew an inch since birth. She was 75% for her weight which was 8 pounds 15 ounces! Crazy how fast they grow!! Her head size was average so that means that brain development is right on track. There were some things the doctor did review with us but said not to worry about. The result for her hemoglobyn came back with some questions so at her 2 month appointment we will have them prick her heel to get a blood sample, and at six months they will draw again to see if it is within normal limits. I guess this has to do with her iron levels and the reason they are waiting is to give the antibodies time to leave her system. So if she does have an iron deficiency then they will test Jake and I to see where it came from. We are praying and believing God that the test will come back clear. Well since the little one has gained so much weight and growing soo quickly, we decided to go get family pictures done. Here is how they turned out!
Okay.. So here is what I need you to do. Please let me know which two are your favorites so we can get pictures sent to you :) Some of them are different then what you see here.. Some are edited in black and white, some have coloring around the edges, and some are more centered on us instead of the background. We love you all!

39 weeks and counting...
Wow this weeks has been long, intense, but DEFINITELY worth it!
We have had revival all week with Evangelist Dennis Wright. What a powerful man of God! His sermons have been right on every time he preaches. All this last week the guys that were deployed with Jake have been slowly arriving. Yesterday, a flight was scheduled to come in early morning, but got delayed until 9:30 last night. Jake went in yesterday but got off for the afternoon. The times kept changing, but by the grace of God we were still able to make it to revival. :) He got home after midnight, and had to turn around and get up at 5 to be to work by 7:30. Well here is the catch... He has duty all day. It is a 24 hour rotation, so he won't be coming home until tomorrow morning at 7:30. :( Thankfully everyone has arrived safely and are off until Monday to spend time with loved ones and friends who have come to greet them back from deployment. Since they are off, Jake has Friday off! Someone asked me if I'll be able to sleep without him there. I said... Well i just did it for five months, and I'm pretty sure I did it for 18 years before that! :) But they are right, it will be tough! It's okay though... this way I get all the pillows!!!! ;)
I better get off here and go hit the shower. I gotta take lunch to Jake here in a bit. At least I get to see him even though he has duty right?! :)
I guess I should end by posting about the baby. She sure is enjoying every last minute she has in my belly. She STILL has not dropped. I have not been having any contractions. BUT what I have had is a lot of swelling! I have an appointment on Monday if I don't go before, and I believe they will set me up for an induction that day. The good news is she can't stay in there forever! She has a whole world of family and friends that cannot wait for her to arrive!! I love you all and hope you have a fantastic weekend!
Love,
Anna
